Dental Clinic

Our goal is to serve those most in need.

NECHC has three dental suites. All treatment is provided by students from Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry and NSCC, students are supervised by licensed providers. Dalhousie Dental provides services from September to May, excluding December and Holidays. Services may include examinations, fillings, extractions, and preventative care. Services do not include orthodontic, endodontics, aesthetic services such as teeth whitening. We are not an emergency/walk-in clinic and we do not accept referrals from other clinics.

If you are a social worker, case manager, or other provider interested in referring a client, please email us with their information and relevant history.

Dental Care

Our dental clinic offers fillings, extractions and full exams.

Hygiene

We offer preventive care such as scaling, polishing, fluoride, x-rays, exams and sealants.

DID YOU KNOW?

The Government of Nova Scotia covers basic dental care for all children up to the month they turn 15 years who have a valid MSI health card number.

Oral education outreach

We offer information sessions within the community such as, school groups, libraries, health fairs and community centres. Email us to request a visit from our dental team!

What to expect

All treatment is provided by students. Appointments are often up to 3 hours, expect to be here for that time. If you cannot be reached by 15 minutes post your schedules appointment time, your appointment may be given to another client on our wait list.
