Position Summary

The Office Manager will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the Centre’s purchasing & procurement processes, including but not limited to office supplies and equipment, furniture, medical equipment , I.T. hardware and software. This position supports the interdisciplinary Health Team by providing services which include ensuring the centre’s operational and IT needs and services are provided in a timely and accurate manner to ensure a high delivery of care. Other duties include word processing, researching, troubleshooting and supporting the printer and copiers as well as managing and maintaining the VOIP phone system. Chairing and leading the OHS & IT Committees and generally assisting health team members with operational and IT tasks as the need arises as well as ensuring that the centre implements and complies with OHS & IT requirements, policies and procedures.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe suite of products
  • Above average customer services and IT skills & High attention to very detailed work
  • Knowledge & experience of not for profit governance preferred but not essential
  • Leadership skills & Conflict management skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a role that requires multiple demands and teamwork, with preference to roles that provided support to leadership teams of varying sizes
  • Extensive experience with multiple business software and troubleshooting highly desirable
  • Able to work with minimal supervision & Self –directed as well as outcome oriented
  • Insightful to abilities and contribution to teams and impact on others
  • Committed to lifelong learning and professional development & Ability to learn from mistakes
  • The employee will demonstrate good stewardship in the identification, reporting and mitigation of unsafe Acts or conditions
  • Important for this position to be able to identify and understand areas where there may be a conflict of interest since this is a unionized position. Important for this position to be able to avoid creating conflicts of interest.

Educational requirements:

Administration, Commerce or a related area, completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
